This page is for those who want the instruction to fold an easy origami elephant.

This easy origami elephant is very similar to a so-called "fish base" in the early folding steps.

Before working on this model, you need to know what valley-fold and mountain-fold are. If you know these two folding techniques, then you will have no problem in making origami elephant.

If you are ready, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold this origami elephant. It is a little easier if the front and the back side of the paper are slightly different whether it be in texture or color.

Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 18cm x 18cm square one. It is a good size for those who are not experienced in paper folding. If you are become familiar with this model. Then you can try smaller size paper.

Elephant Elephant

Elephant, elephant, elephant
You awesome mighty creature
The children are fond of you
We all love you
Adore you
You little cute
All the day you are busy
munching bales of food
You have awesome trunk
one of a kind
We look at it with amuse
You use it for eating, drinking
and smashing the trees
Your tusks are wonder
and a great tool
You are star at circus
performing great acts
Your earn your wages
With sacks of peanuts
and bundles of sugar canes
History wrote about you
you were warrior
fearless at wars
In India you are honored
Fancied with ornaments
and they call you
Lord Ganeesh
