This origami frog starts with both horizontal and vertical gate-folds. Then make 8 x 8 square cells by applying multiple valley and mountain-folds. It takes 20 steps to complete. You can actually make it jump.

You will have to go through total 46 steps to complete making an origami frog. The most important technique that you will learn from this origami frog is "inside reverse-fold" which will be applied repeatedly many times.

Traditionally this origami jumping frog is known to be as a Chinese version of origami jumping frog. Here I use a typical origami paper to fold this model, but it would be better to use a little thicker paper if you want to make the frog to jump.
