How to make origami insect

 

 

You can learn to make various kinds of origami insect here.

The following six origami insects are all traditional models that you should try to fold.

This butterfly VI starts from 8x8 matrix base. One special folding technique that you need to master for this model is separating the butterfly body from two wings by pulling them away.

 
   

 

 

 

The following three butterflies make use of three kinds of sink-folds: (1) open sink-fold, (2) closed sink-fold, and (3) mixed sink-folds (open-closed sink-fold and closed-open sink-fold). If you want to learn these three sink-fold techniques, these are good examples to master them all.
