This page is for those who want the instruction to fold a traditional origami parrot.

This origami parrot is an easy model to fold. You will able to learn both inside reverse-fold and outside reverse-fold from this model.

If you are ready, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold the origami parrot. It is a little easier if the front and the back side of the paper are slightly different whether it be in texture or color.

Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 15cm x 15cm square one. It is the same size of a typical origami paper.

Parrots

If you, deluded, think your wit a sign
of great intelligence, consider parrots
whose brains, the size of walnuts, psittacine,
are good as gold that's more than eighteen carats.
Not only can they speak, they even count
as well as children who are five or six.
Though we believe that we're the only fount
of wisdom, talking birds think we are hicks
whose skin lacks pretty feathers and perspires,
and lips can't crack a nut as well as beaks.
While we imprison parrots behind wires
they sing with tongues that are not in their cheeks.
