This page is for those who want the instruction to fold a traditional origami shirt.

This traditional origami shirt starts with a half of a square paper. One special folding technique you would learn from this model is a special two squash-folds.

Before working on this model, you need to know what valley-fold and mountain-fold are. If you know these two folding techniques, then you will have no problem in making origami shirt.

If you are ready, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold the origami shirt. Here I am using a 15cm x 15cm origami paper with a pattern on it.

Shirt

My shirt is a token and symbol,
more than a cover for sun and rain,
my shirt is a signal,
and a teller of souls.

I can take off my shirt and tear it,
and so make a ripping razzly noise,
and the people will say,
"Look at him tear his shirt."

I can keep my shirt on.
I can stick around and sing like a little bird
and look 'em all in the eye and never be fazed.
I can keep my shirt on.

Poem by Carl Sandburg
