This page is for those who want the instruction to fold a 2D five-pointed origami paper star. This origami star is 2D version. It you are a novice, this model might be difficult for you to try it. If it is, then try to tackle on more easier one first and when you get more experienced, try it then.

If you are an experienced folder, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold the origami star (*it is easier if the front and the back side of the paper are slightly different whether it be in texture or color).

Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 10cm x 10cm square one.

This is the front side of the paper that I am using for this instruction.

2D five-pointed origami paper star: back side of paper

00B.

This is the back side of the paper.

As you can see, the back side is not shiny compared to the front side.

There is an instruction to teach how to make a regular pentagon out of a square paper.

You can easily get a regular pentagon from the instruction.

This is the front side of the regular pentagon.

Origami Star

Holding the paper, it was a simple start
Patiently teaching such a delicate art
His fingers folding with expert precision
But the erratic beats hit with collision

Fingers that had played the ivory keys
Grazed across piano and paper with ease
Fluttering, folding, then he taught me to see
There is more than you, and there is more than me

His words were different, unlike the rest
Through his smile there was more than I'd guessed
The tips of his fingers passed the paper to me
And slowly I learned, and the star came to be
