page is for those who want the instruction to fold an origami sun.
If you are a novice in origami, please don't try this one now. It is somewhat difficult since it takes 55 steps to complete. The essential folding technique that you need to know is open sink-fold. The distinctive feature of this origami sun is the face of the sun actually sticks out of the background flame.
Before working on this model, you need to know what valley-fold and mountain-fold are. If you know these two folding techniques, then you will have no problem in making origami sun.
If you are ready, then let's get started.
If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to .
You may use any kind of paper to fold this origami sun. Here I am using the same color paper for both the front and the back sides. But you could use one side color only paper without any problem. Make sure the paper
that you use is a square(all sides are equal and all the angles
equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 20cm x 20cm square one.
Sun Light, Sun Bright
Fog speaks quiet
Parting, dew clinging
One second on warm hand.
One mystery moment
Drop, in Time. Gaze.
Gift of air, water, early
Back to air. Time again
To walk dawnlight...and
Sun Light. Sun Bright.
