This page is for those who want the instruction to fold a traditional origami steamboat with single smokestack.

This traditional origami steamboat is very interesting model to work on. This is a good example to learn the folding technique called "squash-fold".

Before working on this model, you need to know what valley-fold and mountain-fold are. If you know these two folding techniques, then you will have no problem in making origami steamboat with single smokestack.

If you are ready, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold the origami steamboat. It is a little easier if the front and the back side of the paper are slightly different whether it be in texture or color.

Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is a typical 15cm x 15cm origami paper.

Miss Susie's Steamboat

Miss Susie had a steamboat

Behind the old piano
There sat a piece of glass
Miss Susie slipped upon it
And broke her big fat... (second person jumps out and/or 1st person jumps in)

Ask me no more questions
Please tell me no more lies
The boys are in the bathroom
Zipping up their... (third person jumps out and/or 2nd person jumps in)

Flies are in the meadow
The bees are in the park
Miss Susie and her boyfriend
Are kissing in the D-A-R-K (all jumpers back in)
